Overview

All Athens State University students, faculty, staff, adjunct faculty, and guests may connect to the campus Wi-Fi.

Resolution

Students and Employees

Navigate to your Wi-Fi settings.
Choose Go Bears.
In the Account Name or Username field, enter your Athens State University email address.
In the Password field, enter your MyAthens password.

Follow instructions for your device’s operating system.
Android: CA Certificate-Don’t Validate, Toggle Auto-reconnect. Choose Connect.
iPhone/iPad: On the Certificate menu, choose Trust.
MacOS: On Verify Certificate menu, choose Continue.
Windows: Choose Connect. Do not connect using a Certificate.

Guests

Navigate to your Wi-Fi settings.
Choose Guest.
Your browser will load a self-registration form. Fill out the Self-Registration form. View and accept Terms of Use and click Register.
View your Self-Registration account username and password.
Click Log In.
Your browser will redirect to the Athens State University homepage.
You can now begin browsing the internet.
Note: Guest Wi-Fi access is valid for 24 hours.

Troubleshooting

If you are unable to connect to Wi-Fi, forget Go Bears or Guest network, reboot your device or connect with a different device.
