Overview

Athens State University guests can connect to the ASU-Guest Wi-Fi network for internet access. Guest Wi-Fi access is valid for 24 hours after a successful login.

 

Resolution

Connect to ASU-Guest

1. Open your device's Wi-Fi Settings.
2. Select ASU-Guest.
3. Your browser will open the guest registration page. Complete the self-registration form.
4. Review and accept the Terms of Use, then select Register.
5. Note your username and password.
6. Select Log In.
7. After logging in, you'll be redirected to the Athens State University homepage.
8. You can now begin browsing the internet.

 

Troubleshooting

I'm being asked to sign in every time I reconnect.

Set your device's Private Wi-Fi Address to Fixed for the ASU-Guest network.

iPhone/iPad

1. Open Settings > Wi-Fi.
2. Tap the ⓘ next to ASU-Guest.
3. Set Private Wi-Fi Address to Fixed (or Off, depending on your iOS version).

Android

1. Open Settings > Wi-Fi.
2. Tap the gear icon next to ASU-Guest.
3. Select Privacy.
4. Choose Use device MAC instead of Use randomized MAC.

Windows 10/11

1. Open Settings > Network & Internet > Wi-Fi.
2. Select Manage known networks > ASU-Guest > Properties.
3. Turn off Random hardware addresses.

I can't connect to ASU-Guest.

• Forget the ASU-Guest network and reconnect.
• Restart your device.
• Try connecting with another device.
